New York City-based NYU Langone Health reached its $3 billion fundraising goal last week at its annual fundraising gala.
The gala, known as the Violet Ball, raised more than $150 million for the health system.
Proceeds from the ball support full-tuition scholarships and graduate biomedical research education.
The fundraising campaign began in 2007.
