NYU Langone Health to open patient access contact center in Florida

New York City-based NYU Langone Health is opening a new patient access contact center in Boynton Beach, Fla.

The center will house 500 employees who will help answer questions from patients about scheduling, medical procedure eligibility verification and other issues on behalf of medical practices. Physicians will not provide treatment on-site, but licensed nurses will be available to help patients.

"We're thrilled to expand our growing footprint in Florida through this new location in Boynton Beach," Andrew Rubin, vice president for clinical affairs and ambulatory care at NYU Langone, said in a news release. "Access to our providers and services is imperative to offering world-class care, and we are confident this new patient access contact center will assist in doing so."

The center opens Nov. 14.
