Louisville, Ky.-based Norton Healthcare and Norton Children's launched the "Just Imagine" campaign March 20 to raise millions in support of health equity and expanding specialty care.
In its quiet phase, the campaign raised $154.5 million in donations from the community; the system aims to reach $200 million over the next two years. Norton aims to zero in on improving diabetes, heart, cancer and critical care in addition to neurosciences and pediatric behavioral health with the funds.
"The 'Just Imagine' campaign is a visionary journey that strives to build something greater and take health care to a new level,” said Russell F. Cox, president and CEO of Norton Healthcare, in a news release. "We hope the community will join us in this journey to build a brighter future for all."
Norton is a eight-hospital, nonprofit system with more than 21,000 employees and 1,750 employed medical providers. It also has more than 400 locations in Kentucky and Southern Indiana.
