MultiCare Health System, a five-hospital network based in Tacoma, Wash., has sold its revenue cycle arm for an undisclosed amount of money.
Effective Feb. 28, MultiCare sold the assets of MultiCare Consulting Services through a management buyout arrangement. The three managing directors of MCS acquired the firm's assets and created a new, independent consulting business called McKinnis Consulting Services.
MultiCare founded MCS in 2009. The service provided revenue cycle consulting services to other providers across the country. McKinnis expects to maintain its focus on revenue cycle solutions.
