Moody's Investors Service has upgraded Sandusky, Ohio-based Firelands Regional Medical Center's bond rating to "A3" from "Baa1."
The rating upgrade was supported by a number of factors, including the hospital's dominant market position, with the leading market share in its primary service area.
Firelands also faces some challenges, which were considered for the rating upgrade, such as having high debt-to-revenue ratio of 65 percent.
