Moody's assigns 'Aa3' rating to Oregon Health and Science University's bonds

Moody's Investors Service has assigned an "Aa3" rating to Portland-based Oregon Health and Science University's proposed series 2016B fixed rate revenue bonds, affecting $197 million.

Moody's also upgraded the long-term and underlying ratings on OHSU's parity debt to "Aa3" from "A1." The rating upgrade is based on several factors, including OHSU's improved balance sheet measures and sustained favorable operations.

The outlook is stable, reflecting Moody's belief that OHSU will sustain strong operating performance and fundraising, and that balance sheet measures will continue to improve over time.
