Moody's assigns 'A2' rating to Peninsula Regional Medical Center's bonds

Moody's Investors Service has assigned an "A2" rating to Salisbury, Md.-based Peninsula Regional Medical Center's $130.37 million of series 2015 healthcare revenue refunding bonds issued by the Maryland Health and Higher Educational Facilities Authority.

The rating assignment was supported by a number of factors, including Peninsula Regional's marked operating improvement in fiscal year 2014, following an operating loss in fiscal year 2013, and its leading market position.

Peninsula Regional also faces some challenges, which were considered for the rating assignment, such as a modest decline in market share and anemic revenue growth.
