Midtown Medical Center in Columbus has begun a $5.25 million renovation of its children's hospital, part of a larger $35 million project, according to a Ledger-Enquirer report.
The overall project aims at expanding the neonatal intensive care unit from 28 to 34 all-private, family-sized rooms and enlarging the obstetrics area at Midtown Medical Center. It also includes the addition of a five-bed pediatric intensive care unit and five observation, or intermediate care, beds for children. The labor-delivery-recovery suite area and the 31-bed postpartum suite area will also be renovated, according to the report.
