Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic Health System will close its clinic in Colfax, Wis., July 1.
Dwindling patient volume was cited as a reason for the closure, as many patients travel to Mayo's medical clinic in Bloomer, Wis., or other nearby Mayo sites for care. In addition, substantial capital funds are needed to replace the outdated Colfax facility, according to a news release from Mayo.
Colfax clinic employees will be offered jobs at the Bloomer facility or another Mayo site in Northwest Wisconsin.
