Portland based-MaineHealth Cancer Care Network received a $10 million grant on Thursday from the Harold Alfond Foundation to accelerate delivery of services and improve patient accessibility, according to the Press Herald.
The five-year grant will more than double the budget for the Cancer Care Network, which will use the funds to improve access to clinical trials and grow its partnership with Boston's Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, according to the report.
The Cancer Care Network, which is affiliated with Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, includes 12 MaineHealth hospitals.
