Congress unveiled a huge, 1,603-page, $1.01 trillion spending bill Tuesday night, including $948 million for HHS, according to The Washington Post.
The $948 million — which marks an $80 million increase for HHS — would allow the department to provide health and education services to the expected influx of unaccompanied, immigrant children.
Also included in the bill was a budget of $5.4 million for fighting Ebola.
The legislation that will keep most of the federal government funded through next September is expected to pass in the coming days, according to the report.
