Kathryn Torres, senior vice president of payer contracting and alignment for Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare, sold 1,863 shares of the company's stock on May 2 and May 3, according to a recent Securities and Exchange Commission filing.
The shares were sold for $312 each, for a total price of $581,256.
Ms. Torres still owns 21,475 shares of HCA stock, worth roughly $6.7 million at the selling price of the May 2 and May 3 transactions, according to the filing.
The sale comes after HCA reported $1.8 billion in net income in the first quarter of 2024, up from $1.5 billion during the same period a year prior.
HCA is a for-profit hospital operator with 186 hospitals and approximately 2,400 care sites in 20 states and the United Kingdom, according to the company's website.
