Among the major for-profit hospital operators, Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems saw the greatest increase in share price at 5.4 percent.

- HCA Healthcare (Nashville, Tenn.): $87.84 per share (down 1.4 percent)
- LifePoint Health (Brentwood, Tenn.): $49.80 per share (up 1.6 percent)
- Tenet Healthcare (Dallas): $15.16 per share (up 0.2 percent)
- Universal Health Services (King of Prussia, Pa.): $113.35 per share (down 1.5 percent)
