Fitch Ratings has affirmed the "A" rating on Orange, Calif.-based Children's Hospital of Orange County's outstanding debt.
The rating affirmation was based on a number of factors, including CHOC's strong market position and solid operating profitability through the eight months ended Feb. 28, 2015 due to strong volume growth and good expense control.
CHOC opened its new patient tower in March 2013 and the building has the capacity for 142 additional beds (including shelled space). Fitch said it expects CHOC "to continue to realize the benefits of its investment in its new patient tower and maintain solid operating cash flow as additional performance improvement initiatives are achieved."
