San Francisco-based Dignity Health purchased the naming rights to Carson, Calif.-based StubHub Center, home of the LA Galaxy soccer team.
Effective Jan. 1, the stadium will be renamed Dignity Health Sports Park. As part of its deal with sports events owner AEG, Dignity Health will become the healthcare partner for LA Galaxy. Dignity Health will also implement health and wellness programs for Los Angeles communities surrounding the stadium.
In addition, Dignity Health will provide in-stadium first aid services and operate on-site wellness clinics. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
Lloyd Dean, president and CEO of Dignity Health, said in a prepared statement: "It is our hope that we will deepen our ties with the communities we serve in the greater Los Angeles area through the Dignity Health Sports Park. Whether supporting the youth sports league, offering health clinics, or providing funds to charitable organizations, together, we will promote greater health and wellness for all."
