Chicago-based CommonSpirit Health will delay the release of its fourth-quarter financial results, a spokesperson confirmed to Becker's Hospital Review.
The system will delay the filing by one week. The financial report was expected Sept. 27, but instead will be released Oct. 4.
"The delayed filing of the fourth-quarter results by one week was in the best interests of all stakeholders because it provided a complete set of financial statements. The slight delay also involved several other factors, including the size and complexity of the affiliation," a spokesperson told Becker's.
CommonSpirit Health was formed in February through the merger of Englewood, Colo-based Catholic Health Initiatives and San Francisco-based Dignity Health.
A spokesperson said the delay in fourth-quarter financials won't cause the annual statement, which needs to be filed by Nov. 27, to be late.
