Whiteville, N.C.-based Columbus Regional Healthcare System recorded net income of $2.27 million on revenue of $65.5 million in the nine months ended June 30, according to recent unaudited financial statement.
In the same period a year prior, the health system posted similar results, with $2.31 million in net income on revenue of $65.5 million.
However, Columbus Regional Healthcare System saw operating income fall from $584,509 in the nine-month period in 2016 to $42,797 in the same period this year.
Columbus Regional Healthcare System reported higher operating expenses in the nine months ended June 30 compared to the same time a year before. The health system recorded operating expenses of $65.5 million year to date, up from $64.9 million in the same period in 2016.
