East Side Endoscopy in New York City has chosen Clearwave to implement a self-service check-in system to streamline the frontend of the revenue cycle process and make check-in simpler for patients.
East Side officials said the self-serve kiosks have reduced check-in times for patients and staff and improved scheduling processes. The platform's real-time updates allow staff to schedule new appointments and view patient deductibles and benefit information within the same phone call.
"Clearwave has reduced the time it takes out staff to check patients in, allowing our staff more time to give our patients the attention they deserve," said Helen Lowenwirth, administrator of East Side Endoscopy.
Clearwave's patient registration station uses optical character recognition to pull information from the patient's driver's license and insurance cards, eliminating typos and speeding up registration. The system is connected to over 700 insurers to provide real-time insurance verification.
East Side Endoscopy is part of Physicians Endoscopy, located in Manhattan, New York.
