All 780 revenue cycle employees at Roanoke, Va.-based Carilion Clinic are being offered comparable positions at Ensemble Health Partners as the health system transfers RCM operations.
Carilion is transitioning RCM operations to Ensemble in September, according to a July 10 news release from the health system. The system said the transition will allow revenue cycle employees to have the "latest technology advances and resources they need to optimize revenue effectively while also being a part of an organization solely focused on revenue cycle operations."
"After more than a year of analysis and careful consideration, we've decided to engage Ensemble Health Partners to oversee our revenue cycle operations," Carilion CEO Nancy Howell Agee said in the release. "With Ensemble, we have the best of both worlds. We'll continue working with the same fine employees who have helped us get our revenue cycle operations where they are today while we benefit from Ensemble's extensive experience in helping health systems optimize their processes and their advanced technologies."
