The American Health Information Management Association has launched new online courses to provide coders and other healthcare professionals with essential ICD-10 coding education in preparation of the Oct. 1, 2013 deadline.
AHIMA's ICD-10 online training courses and Training Pathways Guide will address the essential introductory material that is necessary to understand ICD-10 CM/PCS, according to an AHIMA news release. Additionally, there will be training options for in-depth training of coders and other healthcare professionals in the acute-care, long-term care and physician practice settings.
