Access Healthcare in Dallas has acquired Noida, India-based Pacific BPO.
Four things to know:
1. Access Healthcare provides business process outsourcing services with more than 9,000 employees. Pacific BPO is a revenue cycle management services provider with 2,100 employees. Its clients include hospitals, physician practices and revenue cycle intermediaries.
2. Through the acquisition, Pacific BPO's employees will join Access Healthcare, according to the companies. This will create one of the nation’s largest healthcare outsourcing companies, consisting of more than 11,000 employees, more than 1,000 automated agents (bots), and 19 delivery centers across the U.S., India and the Philippines.
3. Kumar Shwetabh, CEO of Pacific BPO, will become president of Access Healthcare's hospital line of business while continuing his CEO role at Pacific BPO.
4. Shaji Ravi, president and managing director of Access Healthcare said as full integration of Pacific BPO takes place in the coming months, Access Healthcare will add and expand operations on Noida and Trivandrum in India and Teaneck, N.J.
