8 hospital CFOs in the headlines

Here are nine hospital and health system CFOs who were in the news since Nov. 1.

1. Columbus-based The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center CFO Mark Larmore was in the news as he implemented a reporting change that cut the hospital's operating margin in half.

2. James Canedo, the ex-CFO of Pacific Hospital in Long Beach, Calif., was in the news as a kickback case against him was unsealed.

3. Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems CFO Larry Cash was in the news discussing the system's most-recent financial results.

4. Mark Bogen, senior vice president of finance and CFO at Oceanside, N.Y.-based South Nassau Communities Hospital, was in the news as he was named a recipient of the Long Island Business News' CFO of the Year Award.

5. Pittsburgh-based UPMC CFO Robert DeMichiei was in the news discussing the system's financial results for the most-recent quarter.

6. Lisa Young was in the news as she was named vice president and CFO of post-acute services at Plano, Texas-based Community Hospital Corp.

7. Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente Executive Vice President and CFO Kathy Lancaster was in the news discussing Kaiser's third-quarter financial results.

8. Jeremy Roberge, senior vice president and CFO of Wolfeboro, N.H.-based Huggins Hospital, was in the news as he will serve as CEO of the hospital during the transition period after Michael Connelly, the hospital's current leader, steps down.
