After receiving approval for the expansion nearly a year ago, Arlington-based Virginia Hospital Center has broken ground on its $250 million project that will grow its outpatient capacity, according to the Washington Business Journal.
The project includes building a seven-story outpatient pavilion and six-story parking garage.
The pavilion will have space for outpatient surgeries, imaging, physical therapy, pharmacy and medical offices.
Virginia Hospital Center said the outpatient pavilion will help open up space at its main hospital for more inpatient beds.
