University of New Mexico in Albuquerque plans to build a $400 million medical tower, according to a KOB 4 news report.
The new tower will be next to its medical building and house 96 inpatient beds and 18 operating rooms.
If the proposal is approved by the hospital's finance committee and state officials, construction will begin next summer.The tower is slated to be completed in 2024.
