Dayton (Ohio) Children's Hospital has opened its child health pavilion, a central hub that combines medical services and community programs aimed at reducing barriers to optimal health, according to the Dayton Daily News.
The pavilion, opened May 20, includes a medical home for children in foster care, a pediatrics department with expanded services and a food pharmacy where poor children and their families can access free healthy food. The pavilion also will host community programs.
The pavilion, proposed in 2017, is about a block from the main hospital.
