Construction has begun on a new five-story, 220,000-square-foot medical tower at Dignity Health Chandler (Ariz.) Regional Medical Center, according to the Queen Creek Independent.
The tower will house 24 thoracic patient rooms, 36 intensive care unit patient rooms and 36 additional patient rooms. It will have an ambulatory therapy unit, a new pharmacy and a cardiac rehabilitation lab.
The addition will be the hospital's fourth patient tower and increase the total bed count at the facility to 429.
The tower is slated to open in spring of 2021.
