Los Angeles-based Cedars-Sinai plans to build a nine-story replacement hospital for its Marina Del Rey Hospital, also based in Los Angeles, according to real estate news organization The Real Deal.
The new 269,000-square-foot replacement hospital will house up to 160 beds. It will be located on Lincoln Boulevard in Los Angeles.
It will eventually replace the 60-year-old, 145-bed Marina Del Ray hospital, which has struggled to meet seismic-retrofit regulations.
Construction is slated to begin in March 2020 and end in 2025.
