Baptist Health Care in Pensacola, Fla., plans to build a $550 million replacement hospital, according to ABC news affiliate WEAR TV.
The new campus will include 650,000 square feet of patient care space and up to 260 beds. Its current hospital in Pensacola opened in 1951.
Construction is slated to begin next summer, and the hospital is expected to open to patients in 2023.
