Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based AdventHealth broke ground March 14 on a 100-bed hospital in Winter Garden, Fla., according to the Orlando Sentinel.
The hospital will be built next to AdventHealth's existing emergency department and medical office building. The 24-bed ED opened in February 2016.
The new hospital will treat patients who need to be admitted rather than transfer them to nearby AdventHealth campuses.
The hospital is projected to open in 2021.
