What Oracle has done since acquiring Cerner

Since Oracle completed its $28.4 billion acquisition of Cerner in June, the tech giant has made additional progress with its healthcare offerings, Cerner's software and health system partnerships. 

Here is a look at some healthcare moves Oracle has made with its new subsidiary, Cerner: 

  • Oracle introduced specialized supply chain solutions for healthcare organizations.

  • Oracle introduced specialized HR solutions for the healthcare industry.

  • Houston-based Texas Children's Hospital moved seven of its business systems to Oracle's Fusion Cloud Applications Suite.

  • Vandalia Health is extending Oracle Health's EHR across their newly merged hospitals.

  • Cerner was named the global EMR market share leader by KLAS.

  • Cerner had double-digit hospital growth in 2023, according to KLAS.

  • Cerner Enviza is working with the FDA and John Snow Labs to develop AI-based tools that can extract clinical notes from patients' EHRs.

  • Columbia-based University of Missouri Health Care is using Oracle Health Seamless Exchange to deduplicate health records so employees don't have to do it manually.

  • Oracle Cerner partnered with life sciences company Labcorp to manage hospital-based laboratories in 10 states.
