Nashville (Tenn.) General Hospital, a 150-bed safety-net hospital, has implemented Oracle Health CommunityWorks to unify its clinical, financial and operational systems.
The new EHR system integrates operations across the hospital and more than 20 outpatient and clinic settings, replacing fragmented legacy systems and automating manual processes, according to a Dec. 18 news release.
Oracle Health CommunityWorks, a cloud-based EHR system designed for smaller hospitals, facilitates information sharing across clinics, inpatient services, outpatient settings and the emergency department.
Nashville General Hospital also plans to use Oracle Health Data Intelligence to enhance insights into patient health and hospital performance. The system integrates data from clinical records, claims, social determinants of health and other sources to support care for patients with chronic conditions, optimize value-based care efforts and manage operational costs.
Additionally, the hospital aims to expand patient access to clinical trials using Oracle Clinical Trial Management System Cloud Service. Nashville General Hospital plans to participate in 10 clinical trials over the next year, with a goal of expanding to 30 within three years, according to the release.
