Scottsbluff, Neb.-based Regional West Health Services plans to install Epic EHR systemwide in October.
Regional West partnered with Denver-based UCHealth to install Epic, with a focus on improving care coordination. The health system includes a tertiary medical center with a Level II trauma center, physician clinic, lab services and retirement community. Regional West also supports eight critical access hospitals in Nebraska.
"We are fortunate to have the opportunity to partner with UCHealth through the Epic Community Connect program to transition our current EHR to Epic," said Paul Butler, CIO of Regional West. "It is truly a world-class system and will benefit our patients by appropriately integrating the patients' medical information throughout the health system, and in turn, facilitating better communication with the goal of an improved patient experience."
Regional West will make MyChart patient portal available to the community for accessing medical information and pay bills, schedule appointments and refill prescriptions.
