While most hospitals and health systems have already implemented an EHR, many organizations are now exploring new ways to optimize and customize their systems, according to KLAS Research.
For its Clinical Optimization Services 2020 report, KLAS analyzed hospital customer satisfaction with EHR optimization firms serving Epic, Cerner and Meditech health systems.
Here's how hospitals rated overall satisfaction with their respective EHR optimization firms, based on a 100-point scale, according to KLAS:
- Chartis Group (works with both Epic and Cerner clients): 96.9
- Atos (works primarily with Cerner clients): 94.2
- Impact Advisors (works with Epic clients): 93.4
- Nordic (works primarily with Epic clients): 93.3
- Navin, Haffty & Associates (works with Meditech clients): 89.9
Referred to as the "foundation of clinical optimization," workflow refinement is the process of examining the logical flow of EMR-based processes and redesigning them to improve the end users' efficiency. Here's how hospitals rated the EHR optimization firms in workflow refinement, according to KLAS:
- Chartis Group (works with both Epic and Cerner clients): 83 percent
- Nordic (works primarily with Epic clients): 80 percent
- Impact Advisors (works with Epic clients): 78 percent
- Atos (works primarily with Cerner clients): 50 percent
- Navin, Haffty & Associates (works with Meditech clients): 25 percent
