Island Hospital in Anacortes, Wash., successfully implemented Meditech Expanse EHR platform May 1.
The platform is a unified EHR that the 43-bed hospital will now use facility wide. The hospital hired Meditech consulting firm Engage to assist with the year-long implementation. Engage provided guidance and resources as well as staff training.
"The new Meditech 6.16 EMR is a major investment for Island Hospital that we took on very seriously. We devoted literally thousands of hours to choose, develop and implement our new EMR and our selection of Engage proved to be a great decision," said hospital CEO Vince Oliver.
