Epic formed a new partnership with Connected Care Health Services, a physician-led coalition of companies that provide technology services and products to healthcare organizations.
Three things to know:
1. Connected Care aims to enhance healthcare organizations' population health initiatives by using technology such as artificial intelligence and data analytics.
2. By partnering with Epic, Connected Care members will gain access to the EHR vendor's patient portal MyChart, which allows them to view their medical history and test results, including pharmacogenetic data.
3. Connected Care members include health plans, hospitals, independent practice associations and medical groups.
