Virgin Pulse, the digital health arm of conglomerate Virgin Group, named former CVS Health leader Jeffrey Jacques, MD, as its chief medical officer.
Prior to his new role, Dr. Jacques spent more than a decade in leadership roles at CVS Health, during which he founded a CVS company designed to support the parents of children born prematurely.
At Virgin Pulse, Dr. Jacques will be responsible for advancing the company's clinical strategy, according to a Jan. 9 Virgin Pulse news release.
"Combining human knowledge with support from technology creates a force multiplier for people and is a significant next step in how they experience healthcare," Dr. Jacques said. "This approach is at the core of the Virgin Pulse platform, making the company an extremely valuable partner to organizations and their members in support of all facets of their health. I'm looking forward to being part of the team that is changing lives for good."
