Google working to create AI-tool that reads physicians handwriting

Google is working to develop an AI-based tool that can read prescriptions made in physicians' handwriting, TheVerge reported Dec. 19.

At its annual Google for India event, which discusses the company's next tech ambitions, Google said it is working with pharmacists on an AI-powered machine learning model that can decode messily written medical notes.

The tech company showcased the feature, stating that it analyzes physicians' writing style and combines what it learns with known medical information.

Google did not mention when this feature would be released, but said it would provide updates on its development.
