Nutrition and wellness company GNC is expanding into healthcare through new membership plans that offer virtual urgent and primary care.
GNC Health is offering three tiers of membership plans to individuals and families. The GNC Health Basic plan is a $34.99 per year offering that provides members with virtual urgent care, virtual lifestyle care and access to more than 100 prescriptions with no copay, according to an Oct. 23 GNC news release.
The Health Plus plan costs $9.99 per month for individuals and members gain access to virtual primary care and more than 400 prescriptions with no copay. The company's Health Premier plan costs $39.99 per month for individuals and allows members to access virtual mental healthcare and virtual physical therapy.
The move comes as other retail healthcare disruptors, such as Costco, look to expand their virtual healthcare offerings.
"We envision GNC Health as a way to broaden our consumer reach and bring people meaningful health and wellness solutions because everyone deserves the opportunity to live well," Allison Bentley, senior director of strategic programs at GNC Health, said in the news release. "With GNC Health, we're supporting our consumers' health and wellness journeys while keeping our core brand relevant and top-of-mind."
