Best Buy said it will begin to sell continuous glucose monitors.
The consumer electronics retailer will sell the Dexcom G7 for $179.99 for a 30-day supply, according to an Oct. 9 news Best Buy release shared with Becker's. Eligible customers can receive a glucose monitor through BestBuy.com where they will then be directed to the retailer's new website dubbed Wellness.BestBuyHealth.com.
If the customer is approved, the prescription will be processed by HealthDyne, and once the Dexcom G7 is available, customers can get the device directly delivered to their homes, according to the release.
The retailer said it is not currently accepting insurance, but aims to eventually have a process in place whereby customers' physicians can upload their prescriptions into their profiles and have the device sent to them.
