Cleveland Clinic researchers and caregivers designed an app that provides real-time information about ventilators for front-line caregivers, according to a UPI report.
Three quick notes:
1. The Ventilator Mode App provides information on different ventilator models to help clinicians understand how to use them. The app includes quick tutorials on the devices and comparisons to other machines.
2. Caregivers can use the app when confronted with an unfamiliar ventilator system and learn how to operate it quickly, which has become necessary in many COVID-19 hot spots.
3. The app includes information about ventilators produced by non-traditional manufacturers during the pandemic to aid in the treatment efforts.
