GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare has named Marissa Solan as U.S. external communications director of the company it's spinning off next week.
Haleon Health, which spins off July 25, was created as part of GSK’s belief that the companies would work better as separate entities, the U.K. pharmaceutical firm told Medical Marketing and Media July 20. Ms. Solan joined GSK May 16. Previously, she was a senior vice president with Edelman's brand practice, leading the Dove and Unilever businesses.
In her new position, Ms. Solan will be responsible for Haleon’s external strategy in the U.S. and communications strategy for Haleon’s American portfolio.
