In June, hospitals and health systems in Michigan, New York, Maryland, New Jersey and Illinois have undergone rebranding efforts.
Here are the five hospitals and health systems launching new brand identities since May 30:
- Lansing, Mich.-based Sparrow Health System will incorporate University of Michigan branding into its name after merging with the Ann Arbor, Mich.-based system.
- Edison, N.J.-based Hackensack Meridian JFK University Medical Center renamed its spinal cord unit after former Rutgers University defensive tackle Eric LeGrand, who became paralyzed during the 2010 season.
- Rockford, Ill.-based SwedishAmerican Hospital rebranded to reflect its affiliation with Madison, Wis.-based UW Health.
- Columbia, Md.-based Howard County General Hospital rebranded to reflect its affiliation with Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins Medicine.
- Baltimore-based John Hopkins Outpatient Center was renamed to honor its first Black chief resident in cardiac surgery, Levi Watkins, MD.
