Digital health funding continued its steady pace over the past month, with Becker's reporting on 11 companies raising more than $367 million. Here are those investment rounds.
1. West Des Moines, Iowa-based UnityPoint Health and Tampa (Fla.) General Hospital invested in remote care platform HealthSnap as part of a $9 million funding round May 17.
2. Hippocratic AI, a healthcare generative artificial intelligence startup co-founded by a health system COO, launched May 16 with $50 million in funding co-led by General Catalyst and Andreessen Horowitz.
3. Laguna Health, an artificial intelligence-powered care management company, raised $15 million in series A funding May 16.
4. The investment arms of Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic and Cleveland Clinic joined in a $15 million strategic funding round May 16 for medtech augmented reality company MediView XR.
5. Digital healthcare guidance company Amino Health raised $80 million in financing May 11.
6. Digital health company Babylon said May 10 it plans to go private in June with the help of $34.5 million in funding from AlbaCore Capital.
7. The investment arms of Mayo Clinic and Chesterfield, Mo.-based Mercy joined in a $7.7 million series A funding round May 9 for clinical AI company Lucem Health.
8. Inbox Health, a patient billing communication company, raised $22.5 million in series B financing May 4.
9. Health tech startup Healthy.io, which offers at-home urinalysis and digital wound care, landed $50 million May 3 while also reportedly laying off a third of its staff.
10. Odaia, a company developing an AI-powered pharmaceutical platform, secured $25 million in series B financing May 1.
11. The University of Colorado Healthcare Innovation Fund, which includes Aurora-based UCHealth and Children's Hospital Colorado, participated in a $58.75 million oversubscribed series B round April 27 for cancer diagnostics startup Foresight Diagnostics.
