Artificial intelligence is the new technology healthcare executives are the most excited about, according to a new study from KLAS Research and the Center for Connected Medicine, a research arm of Pittsburgh-based UPMC.
Here is what 79 hospital and health system executives said was the most exciting new technology in healthcare, according to the Sept. 21 report:

- Genomic/precision medicine: 5
- Ambient speech recognition: 4
- Data analytics: 4
- Blockchain: 3
- Remote patient monitoring: 2
- Robotic process automation: 2
