The federal government awarded cybersecurity and IT solutions provider Merlin International $80 million in the third quarter of 2017 to strengthen cybersecurity efforts in healthcare.
Under the agreement, Merlin will support governance, risk and compliance assessment, EHR database encryption, full network packet capture, enhanced network visibility and policy-based device control at U.S. government healthcare organizations.
"Today we manage cybersecurity, from end points to networks, from governance to risk management frameworks, from encrypting data-at-rest and data-in-motion, to full packet capture. As government agencies protect and provide for U.S. citizens, Merlin supports them behind the scenes in every aspect of their healthcare cybersecurity initiatives," said Merlin Chairman and CEO David Phelps.
