A breach at a third-party agency is affecting Adventist Health Tulare (Calif.).
Signature Performance, an agency acting on behalf of Adventist Health Tulare to collect payments for services, detected suspicious activity on its network and launched an investigation into the event. Through the investigation, Signature learned an unknown party accessed files on its network, affecting more than 70,000 patients at Adventist Health Tulare, according to a June 7 news release from Adventist.
Adventist Health Tulare said Signature Performance is informing all affected patients. Adventist Health Tulare did not disclose what kind of information was included in the breach, but said it is working with Signature Performance on the breach notifications to affected individuals.
