Orthopedic Surgeons: How High Can Their Salaries Go?

Orthopedic surgeons continue to be one of the highest-paid physician specialties, as their average salary offers exceeded $480,000 last year.

According to a physician salary offer report from Merritt Hawkins, hospitals and medical groups offered $483,000, on average, to orthopedic surgeons last year. The lowest salary offer Merritt Hawkins saw was $250,000, but the high end was $750,000.
