Loyola Medicine, a three-hospital system based in Maywood, Ill., will increase its minimum wage to $15 per hour.
The increase, which takes effect Jan. 5, will affect about one-third of Loyola's workforce.
The minimum wage increase represents an initial annual investment of nearly $3 million.
Our people are our greatest assets," said Shawn Vincent, Loyola Medicine president and CEO. "Offering a higher minimum wage is simply the right thing to do to compensate our colleagues for their hard work and dedication to our mission."
