12 states where RN salary jumped 3%+ in 1 year

In 2017, California-based registered nurses reported the highest average salary, at $102,700. However, the largest increase in RN salary occurred outside of the state.

 

Here are 12 states where RN salary increased 3 percent or more from 2016 to 2017, according to data from the Bureau of Labor and Statistics.

1. Minnesota: 4.8 percent
2. Indiana: 4 percent
3. Montana: 4 percent
4. Nebraska: 4 percent
5. North Dakota: 3.8 percent
6. Delaware: 3.3 percent
7. Idaho: 3.3 percent
8. Maine: 3.3 percent
9. New York: 3.2 percent
10. Montana: 3.1 percent
11. Georgia: 3 percent
12. Wyoming: 3 percent
