Emeryville, Calif.-based Vituity, a physician-led and owned multispecialty partnership, announced on Aug. 24 that it is providing emergency medical services at the Lower Umpqua Hospital in Reedsport, Ore.
A team of locally based Vituity clinicians has integrated with existing emergency physicians and providers as of Aug. 1.
Lower Umpqua Hospital Chief Nursing Officer Jennifer Green said that they have already seen positive results from the integration.
"Since Vituity began its emergency medicine operations, we've experienced better levels of engagement between providers, the adoption of process standardization and quality metrics, and overall increased levels of accountability that have greatly enhanced the patient experience," Ms. Green said.
Lower Umpqua Hospital District is a non-profit, 20-bed critical access hospital on the Central Oregon coast.
